Our firstborn daughter Hope was stillborn at 40 weeks 5 days after a healthy pregnancy in August 2008. In the wake of her tragic death, I took up running which has helped me enormously in both my physical and emotional healing. In 2015, I completed my first two marathons, the first on the Great Ocean Road in May and the second at the Melbourne Marathon in October. In April 2016, I will be honoured to represent the Stillbirth Foundation in the London Marathon, the charity's first international event, with the aim to raise $10,000 to help reduce the incidence of stillbirth, which is tragically still all too common yet still rarely spoken about. I hope you can get behind me to help support this cause which is incredibly close to my heart.
